Destiny's Destiny!

That's right! a Dynasty of the Destiny of Destiny! I'll be taking screen caps throughout whatever world of the spiral she's in. Whenever she finishes a world, I'll post the pics and put little random captions! Get ready for a dynasty of epic! (Look at that! Even a cool little Chinese logo for the Project!)

Le Pickle

Le Pang is stuck in Le Pickle. Who to level up? The main, the healer, the one who wears black and green only known as the infamous Erin? Or what about that alt, named Ryan, oh so humbly. For he is level 58. Or the balance wizard named Cheyenne, who's stuck in a pickle of her own adventuring through Dragonspyre. Maybe even the fire wizard, who is dodging gears and waving the steam of golems away from him, who is only known as Seth. Or perhaps even the storm called Destiny, who's destiny is to finish Wizard City. And finally, the newbie death wizard who wears barbaric clothes from the Dragons Hoards pack, who is known as Cole. What will Panglou do to rid of the confusing, yet wondrous pickle? Only time will tell. Or Gandalf, but alas, I know no Gandalf.

I challenge you to...

A battle of the minds! We all know that throughout Wizard101, the worlds get progressively harder. But just how hard can it get by just using the AI and not some cheating -90 shield and an insta-kill Bloodbat. (Yes, that's right, BLOODBAT.) In most games, the human is dominate, but what if they create mobs as strong as bosses. Imagine a bunch of Calypso's running up and down a street! But, we will get stronger too, so we'll counteract that... but, you can simply lower the counter-action and... BAM. You get a dominate AI, forcing us to use more tactics. Another way to approach the gap of PvE so that it's more equal is just simply making infinite levels, BUT, your XP bar will be huge, and you will have already completed all your quests. Gear would be set at a high level, so even if you did fight enough to keep leveling up, then you wouldn't get an advantage. After around 2 hard, main worlds or areas, you can give players better gear, because they have leveled up. Spells would work the same way, and would come out at around the same rate that they do now. Now how good your AI is also depends on how long the game will stay popular, AKA when you stop making worlds. Maybe they could just stop making worlds at one point, but throw this infinite level system where we have to fight to level up, and it would not matter, more or less just bragging rights. You would gain a small amount of mana and HP, so you are not too dominate over people who have not. And now this is just turning into a ramble... Oh well. If programers can make the AI human like, to the point where we have to have a high level, good gear, and pleny of tricks up our sleeve... then what happens in the future? This is where the whole "Sapient, Overlord Robots" theory comes in.

Well Congrats, you made it through the ramble! Here's your reward.

Wysteria!

Greetings, Panglou here coming from Wysteria! Having a great time!

(P.S, the people here are really weird... help me Obi Wan!)

That's right, the Test Realm is... OPEN! :)

Welcome to Wysteria

Wysteria was once a trade post and pleasant enough small town in the Wizard City cluster, not too far away but of little consequence in the overall scheme of things, until a magical incident occurred that caused a crawling vine to grow and completely overrun the town.

Players who are level 25 or higher should speak to Merle Ambrose in his tower. He will offer you the quest "To the Registrar".

Pigswick Academy; Pigswick Academy is located at the heart of Wysteria and is a rival school to Ravenwood.

Inside the walls of this city a very special Magic tournament is about to take place and in your journey to solve the mystery involving the theft of an important school treasure it will be up to you to defend the honor and good name of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts!

Pegasus Place: Normally home to a host of pegasus aerie, this street has been overrun by a wave of goblins and hobgoblins, fierce and horrible creatures who escaped to Wysteria by hitching a ride with some unwitting students. They have blocked off the street, run amok and caused considerable damage to buildings, and are storming around, menacing students and residents alike.

Tanglewood Way: Tanglewood Way is ruled by the forces of nature. The gates are completely entangled with vines and seemingly are impassible, and two guards stand outside it keeping people away. Near the gate entrance is a crack in the wall that looks large enough to for a Wizard to sneak through...

Most of the WoW plot.

Four years have passed since the mortal races stood together against the might of the Burning Legion. The tenuous peace forged in a time of desperation is fading. Arthas, the mad deathknight, has assumed the mantle of the Lich King, becoming nearly invincible in his fortress in Northrend. However, the great will of the Lich King has failed, and the undead legions have splintered. The Forsaken, those creatures that have managed to throw off the control of the undead lord under the guidance of Sylvanas Windrunner, the former high elf, have control of the lands of Lordaeron, under constant attack from the mindless creations of the Arthas. South of Lordaeron, in the land of Azeroth, the humans have reclaimed their stronghold of Stormwind, building it into their new capital city. But the king has mysteriously vanished, and the Defias Brotherhood, a group of thieves and murderers, have gained considerable power. With the Stormwind army away from the capital, the task falls on the shoulder of adventurers to protect the human lands, under the rule of their child king. To the north of Stormwind, in Khaz Modan, the dwarves and gnomes work together, trying to reclaim the gnomish city of Gnomeregan from the troggs, while attempting to secure their own borders and protect their human allies. In Darnassus, the island stronghold of the Night Elves, nature and balance have been restored, but the mainland of Kalimdor has been lost to the Horde. In Ogrimmar, to the south of Darnassus, the orcs and trolls attempt to carve out their own place in a world that does not seem to want them, under the wise leadership of the shaman Thrall. In Southern Kalimdor, the Tauren try to protect their great city of Thunder Bluff from the ravages of those who would attempt to defile their lands. Eight races, all vying for control of Azeroth. Four years have passed since the races banded together to protect the Well of Eternity from the power of the Burning Legion. The tenuous peace that once held all the hatred of the races at bay, has shattered. The lands of the world of Azeroth have once again become host to a World of Warcraft. Written by DPB

My thoughts on "OVERPOWERED!" in gaming.

Almost ALL gaming communities have some hero, class, or even item that many shun to be "OP" or, (for people unfamiliar with this term) overpowered. Every single game I've played, if it was an MMO, and RPG or a RTS, there was always a single (or few) OP things that most people didn't like. Some take advantage in these things, even if it costs them the angry people, and even insults once in awhile. For example; in Wizard101, many people, (especially lower-leveled players) think that the class of storm is too powerful. I've seen some threads that directly blame the wonderful producers of the game. This, is certainly untrue. They try to find balance with things in their game, to make it work in harmony, many gears turning at the same time. Now, even if these designers and planners overlook these things in their creating process doesn't mean it's all their fault. Most times they go back and fix it in a later patch or update, to make it more equalized, or "Nerfed" in nerd terms. Many times they actually want that "thing" to be that powerful, so they make something in the game counter it better.

Sometimes it's actually the players of this so-called overpowered force! Sometimes, they cheat, but mostly it's just a good strategy of using it, or power boosts from other things. So, usually it's pointless of complaining unless it's TOTALLY ruining you experience, or if it's just a very small thing that you won't get too passionated about, sticking very hard to your opinion.

So, don't end up like the guy in the picture, raging, or threating to quit!

Karagasa: The Patchwork Troll

Karagasa was always teased as a trolling. He stayed away from other trollings, and was very creative and hard-working. One night, he created a ragdoll. He had many adventures with it, and had it with him wherever he went. While he was venturing with his "Steve" as he would call him, he came upon an old witch hag. She said that his friend could be even better. He couldn't put an offer down like this! He agreed, and they started the ritual. But, something went wrong during it and the ragdoll was combined with HIM! He became the patchwork troll. He DEFIANTLY didn't want to be teased with this. He created himself a maul, and smelted it to his hand. He doesn't feel pain, and he uses this to his advantage. With his maul, and his fabric skin, he turned into an immortal being. That is; until someone rips the stuffing out! Now, he will always be with his beloved Steve. Happy ending. Blah blah blah. /smile :)

Lydia, the Dark Healer

I drew this, and now here is her story!

Lydia was born with arcane arts, and a dark desire. When she was just two years, she was sent off to learn how to use her arcane gifts. She wanted to leave the school, and learn her own way of magic. After five years in her prison of good magic, she finally created a tomb of spells for her to mend when she escaped. Six months later, she created her first dark spell. It was a sacrificial healing spell. She had to have blood, (Or LOTS of mana) to cast it. She snuck into the headmasters quarters one night, and cast it. He died, and she used the spell to heal a dying student. With all the commotion of him being dead, she silently escaped the school the night after. After a month of searching for a new home, and healing herself using weak villagers from small towns she passed, she found and open tomb in an old graveyard. She decided to live here, as it was 10 miles away from a village, making it so she could still heal herself, while staying hidden. There she lived for 190 years, creating sacrificial magic. After the town was deserted, and no more villagers remained, she had to feed off the life of animals. This only sustained her slightly, and she died withing 5 years of them leaving. On her last full moon, the sky above the graveyard was blood-red, and she cast her final spell: for her to be resurrected in 400 years. She awakened, more stronger and ever, and now she has found her old graveyard to be the sewers of New York City. She had lost her tomb during her rest, and has set out to find it. She stalks the dark alleyways, subway tunnels, and sewer systems for her long-lost tomb.

Meow?

"Thou Panglou, why art thou say "Meow?" It really tis quite atrocious, it makes me toil."

My response to that extremely properly written sentence would be... my love of cats. And this guy. Kootra.

"Well, dear Panglou, why does thou say "Brown?" does thou even dare to ask?"

Ah, well, I shall answer that for you. Same reason, my chers belle dame.

Heather Emeraldflame...

As many of you know already, Heather Emeraldflame passed away yesterday, and I would like to arrange a memorial service for her. I can get this all sorted out by Saturday, so here are the details if you wish to come.

Place: The Storm Tower, Torrence Realm
Date: Saturday, January 8, 2011
Time: 6:30 P.M, Mountain time
RSVP: By Friday, the 7th (to do so, comment on this post)

I would also like to address that this will be short, so only expect about 5-10 minutes out of this, because as Kestrel said in the comments, I don't want this to become anything holy, as we didn't know her very well.

(This is not a party, so please be respectful, and turn off your ports and use common sense)

(Also, we will have a wand lighting, so find the brightest wand you can!)

(P.S) If you do not have a blogger, please tell me on twitter, or my Wizard101 Central page.

Thank you!

Panglou :)
